When I read the sides for the Des, Goddess of Death CEO I fell in love with her. She’s Confident, Witty, Smart and Brass, and I was thrilled to get the callback. That’s when I really got to see the depth this character goes. I won’t spoil what you’ll come to find out about Des, but what I can say is like many of us, there’s a deep vulnerability I think some of the strongest of us try to hide and she’s no different. The writing of this piece is captivating and I’m overjoyed to be returning to the New York Theater Festival this summer portraying such a fun and complex character.
